Our infant room provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, exercise, facial, and verbal mimicking as well as lots of hugs and tickles.
Our infant program cares for children ages 4 weeks to 12 months. Each infant receives individual attention throughout the day.
They are allowed to form their own patterns of eating and sleep. During naps, infants are placed on their backs in CPCS and ASTM approved cribs without blankets, toys or bumpers. The nursery is equipped for quiet and active areas of play.
During feeding times, bottle-fed infants are either held or positioned sitting up and are "fed on demand" (at least 4 hours and not more than hourly). Bottles should be pre-made and labelled with the infant’s first and last name.
Diapers are checked every two hours or as needed.
Parents are responsible for providing diapers, wipes, food, and bottles until the child is able to eat table food and drink whole or 1% cows milk.
The student to teacher ratio for this classroom is 6 to 1.
